Vietnam as a bakery market

According to the General Statistics Office, revenue from the cake and bread segment reached 632 million USD in 2019. Average GDP growth ran at 6.52% between 2000 and 2019, with continued growth estimated at 8.6% a year. On those figures Vietnam is among the largest bakery markets in the Asia-Pacific region, and VIBS is the first and only exhibition for the bakery equipment sector in the country.

Competition and programme

The show is a significant date in artistic baking, where chefs and trainees demonstrate their skills. It is organised by the Vietnam Bakery Association (VBA) and the Saigon Professional Chefs Guild (SPC), with VNBC 2024 held under the patronage of Worldchefs and the Union Internationale de la Boulangerie et de la Boulangerie-Patisserie (UICB).

A trading platform for the sector

VIBS 2024 runs under the slogan "Bake The Future". As the only specialist bakery exhibition in Vietnam it is intended to give companies an opening in a large potential market. Its first edition in 2019 established its position as the only comprehensive show for the sector.
